Dipyum Cakes Policy
Changes & Payment: Changes required to wedding cake flavours, serving count and design must be made no later than 15 days prior to the date of the event, at this time everything must be finalised. Payment in full must be made no later than 15 days prior to the date of the event, along with the payment of your returnable deposit for any stands/accessories. If a customer is paying by cheque the cheque must be cleared 15 days prior to the date of the event, cheques must not be future dated.
Deposits: A deposit is made in order to secure your order and event date which is always non-refundable.
Cancellations: Dipyum Cakes continued viability relies on bookings being honoured by our customers. If you cancel your order before 1 month of your event date we may only offer a credit note to the value of any sum already paid. Credit notes may be used against another single order purchase and are to be used within one year. Please note cash refunds are not offered.
Dipyum Cakes reserves the right to withhold the offer of a credit note or charge a cancellation fee up to the full amount of your order for any bookings cancelled within the 1 month notice period, in which case no refund/credit will be given. No exceptions can be made for any reason. This reflects the costs incurred by Dipyum Cakes in terms of staffing, food, and any lost revenue as a result of turning away other potential bookings.
Refunds & Liability: If upon collection you are not satisfied with your cake due to issues with the order details, such as incorrect size or design, which Dipyum Cakes are unable to rectify you are NOT obligated to take the cake. Should you choose not to take the cake in this instance, when the cake does not meet the requirements in the order form, you will be issued with a refund (excluding deposit) which may be in the form of store credit only. If minor adjustments are needed to the cake decoration these can be made upon collection, any major changes may be subject to an additional charge*.
Should you bring the cake back after leaving the shop for any reasons relating cake flavours and fillings special consideration will be given in the event that there are any discrepancies against the final product and what was ordered, however please note a FULL monetary refund cannot be given. Once a cake leaves our shop we are not responsible for any damage occurring to the cake during transport, set-up or any time thereafter.
Refunds and credit notes will be determined on the basis that the cake is returned to the shop. Please note: if the cake is not returned to the shop the customer will not be given any monetary refund or credit note. In this instance Dipyum cakes are not obligated however in some cases may offer a partial credit note only, this will be on discretionary basis and as a gesture of goodwill.
